STAY INFORMED

Stay up-to-date on pandemic procedures and regulations from your local donation sites.

Moving is the perfect time to reduce some of the clutter and donate unwanted items. COVID-19 could effect collection procedures and even cause temporary closures to donation facilities. Check current procedures at your local Salvation Army or Goodwill locations ahead of time to stay informed and safe when donating unwanted items. The Coronavirus Pandemic could cause closures at your local donation sites. Plan ahead accordingly and stay informed so that you don’t end up with a truckload of items going to the trash that could have been given a second home and helped those in need.

THE IMPORTANCE OF HAND SOAP

Don’t forget regular soap - leave it in the bathroom until the very end.

We all love hand sanitizer but let’s not forget about the soap. The fact is your hands get dirty when you put in work, and moving is a lot of work! Even if you wear gloves, sweat will build up underneath and your hands will become dirty. This is even more important when moving during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.

Did you know that 33% of people hire a moving company? It's likely you'll be interacting with people outside of your social bubble on your moving day. Face masks and Proper PPE protection is important, but do not forget good old fashioned hand soap.

Make sure to leave some essentials out on your long-distance moving day until the very end. A bar of soap and a roll of toilet paper should be left in the bathroom for you or your movers on moving day. The moving process could take quite a few hours. It’s inevitable that a few food and bathroom breaks will be needed during the process. At this point, everyone as heard the importance of proper handwashing in preventing the spread of Coronavirus.

Paula’s Movers wanted to remind everyone to wash your hands for at least 20-30 seconds to make sure they are cleaned thoroughly.
