List common situations that may not allow for 6 ft. distance between individuals. What measures will you implement to ensure the safety of your employees in such situations?

Driving in the truck - we will have staff maintain proper PPE equipment while driving in the truck together. This includes face coverings and gloves. 

Moving large items/furniture together - we will have staff maintain proper PPE equipment while moving and loading large items together. This includes face coverings and gloves. 

How you will manage engagement with customers and visitors on these requirements (as applicable)?

We will advise all staff on keeping 6ft apart from customers at all times and always use PPE equipment. 

Proper PPE equipment and practices will be taught to all out staff.  

MOD in office and Foreman on jobs will ensure these safety protocols are followed properly and enforced.

How you will manage industry-specific physical social distancing (e.g., shift changes, lunch breaks) (as applicable)?

Removing chairs in break rooms and conference offices will help ensure proper social distance.

What quantity of face coverings – and any other PPE – will you need to procure to ensure that you always have a sufficient supply on hand for employees and visitors? How will you procure these supplies?

We will require to always have 72 face-coverings in the office to cover in-office visitors and have a reserve for our moving team. 

What policy will you implement to ensure that PPE is appropriately cleaned, stored, and/or discarded?

We follow current CDC guidelines as the basis for our education policy. We educate all staff on proper PPE use, cleaning, storing, and discarding methods. Additionally, we educate our movers on how to maintain proper social distance on the job and in our customers homes. 

List common objects that are likely to be shared between employees. What measures will you implement to ensure the safety of your employees when using these objects?

Common objects our employees share are boxes, packing materials, tape, moving blankets, dollies, and hand trucks. We will ensure the safety of our employees when using these objects by providing all moving staff with gloves and sanitizer. Additionally, we will sanitize shared items frequently and after each use. 

Who will be responsible for maintaining a cleaning log? Where will the log be kept?

Paula's Movers Management Department. The Cleaning Log will be kept in our office.

Where on the work location will you provide employees with access to the appropriate hand hygiene and/or sanitizing products and how will you promote good hand hygiene?

Sanitizing products will be available to our employees in our office headquarters and in moving trucks. We will promote good hygiene with signage and verbal reminders to our staff.

What policies will you implement to ensure regular cleaning and disinfection of your worksite and any shared objects or materials, using products identified as effective against COVID-19?

Our Covid-19 Cleaning Policy requires staff to clean daily all equipment and trucks. We will use the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved cleaners as recommended by the CDC. We will acquire these products from local and regional distributors. Which employee(s) will be in charge of maintaining a log of each person that enters the site (excluding customers and deliveries that are performed with appropriate PPE or through contactless means), and where will the log be kept?FAQ

Office staff will keep the log and keep it on hand in our office.

If a worker tests positive for COVID-19, which employee(s) will be responsible for notifying state and local health departments?

The Paula's Movers Management Department.

What type(s) of daily health and screening practices will you implement? Will the screening be done before employee gets to work or on site? Who will be responsible for performing them, and how will those individuals be trained?

There are 2 temperature check devices at our facility. We take temperatures at the start and end of work shifts. We have parking lot personnel who perform these temperature checks. They have been trained in using the temperature measuring devices by the technicians from the device manufacturer. 

If screening onsite, how much PPE will be required for the responsible parties carrying out the screening practices? How will you supply this PPE?

We use our own staff for screening practices. Paula's Movers purchases and provides PPE for our staff. We require between 100-150 masks and gloves per week.

In the case of an employee testing positive for COVID-19, how will you clean the applicable contaminated areas? What products identified as effective against COVID-19 will you need and how will you acquire them?

The truck and contents will be cleaned thoroughly in accordance with CDC guidelines. We will use the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved cleaners as recommended by the CDC. We will acquire these products from local and regional distributors. In the case of an employee testing positive for COVID-19, how will you trace close contacts in the workplace? How will you inform close contacts that they may have been exposed to COVID-19?

Our movers have scheduled routes. Should an employee test positive we will review our moving logs and notify the appropriate parties (customers and staff) by phone and text messages.

We require our movers to maintain a minimum of 6 feet from our customers. We require our movers to wear protective masks and gloves at all times. In addition, our movers will have their temperature taken before leaving our headquarters. We do daily sanitizing of our trucks and equipment as well as our truck cab interiors, door handles, and latches. We provide hand sanitizer and require our movers to frequently wash their hands. We discard unused boxes at the end of each job as well as wash all moving blankets. We are monitoring daily the Covid-19 precautions and evolving our safety standards as set by State, Federal, and CDC guidelines.
